Now is an absolutely wonderful time to become a member of IANDS. You can easily sign up via their website at www.iands.org. Once you become a member, there are many ways you can participate in their activities and outreach. Here is a list of some of their current needs. As a previous Board member, I can attest to how much you can grow and how much fun you can have, being an active and committed member. Please join up, then sign up.
In the joy of service, PMH
As you probably know, IANDS is mainly a volunteer run organization. We depend on the energy and dedication of volunteers to do much of the work that keeps our organization humming with activity. There are four immediate opportunities that we have for volunteers to step up and fill critical roles right now for IANDS. Please let us know if you are interested in helping with any of these.
- Member to Member Networking: We need several volunteers who love interacting with people to help us reach out over the phone to our membership for a variety of purposes. Important is a friendly and interested attitude, and a desire to help IANDS with its mission of research, education and support. If you are interested, please e-mail Allen Katzoff at email@example.com
- Development Director: We need a volunteer with experience in donor development, and planned giving to help us obtain necessary resources. If you are interested, please e-mail Yolaine Stout at firstname.lastname@example.org
- Vital Signs Editor: We need a new editor for Vital Signs, our quarterly newsletter for members. This is a fascinating opportunity for the right person. Knowledge of NDEs is important, as well as excellent writing and editing skills. Creativity combined with good organizational abilities also are critical for publishing a quality newsletter on schedule each quarter. If you are interested, please e-mail Nancy Bush at email@example.com
- Website News Editor: The internet is filled with news about NDEs and related topics. We need someone who enjoys surfing the web to compile and investigate new information about NDEs: stories in the media, recently published books, new research papers, etc. Some familiarity with news feeds, search engines, and blogs would be helpful. If you are interested, please e-mail Allen Katzoff at firstname.lastname@example.org
For other volunteer opportunities with IANDS, please go to www.iands.org, sign into the members only section (upper right of the home page) with your Username below, and click on "Volunteer Opportunities" in the left hand column.
Thank you for your continued support.
