Don't miss!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Don’t miss the June issue of my free monthly newsletter. I talk about the incredible “coincidence” of the planet Uranus moving into the sign of Taurus at the same time the block-buster book Tailspin by Steven Brill came out. Uranus means change, sudden change, that sweeps away the past to make run for the new - the disrupter. Taurus means earth, what we have, banks, investments, stock markets, our homes, our farms, what we eat, how we do things, our pleasures. Into this maelstrom up pops Tailspin, the most important book to come out in decades. Brill shows us exactly how we have been hurting ourselves for the last five decades, what we did wrong, how and why. It’s not Trump. It’s us. What we let happen. Real facts. Real truth. Much of the rest of the June edition focuses on the question, is the universe alive, does it have a consciousness? You’ll be very surprised at what science has discovered. And that’s not half of it. Subscribe now.

And don’t miss the big near-death conference the last part of August and the first few days of September. Really huge. Great speakers. Come! Register now at www.iands.org. Yup, I’ll be there too.

Coming Events

  • September 18, 6:00 pm to 9:15, special class on Breathing and Learning Through the Vagus Nerve.

This will be taught by Rev. Dr. Karen Herrick, at the United Methodist Church, 247 Broad Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701. This is a very important class for anyone interest in the near-death experience, because so many experiencers speak afterwards of not needing to breathe that much from the nose and lungs. Herrick believes that the Vagus (Vagal) Nerve is the physical counterpoint to the Silver Cord. There are records and teachings that go back hundreds, if not thousands of years, that refer to adepts who learned how to breathe without involving the normal process of nose/lungs, and continue on with their life normally. Any questions call (732) 530-8513; www.spiritualexperiences.info.

  • September 20, 7:30 pm, Book Signing at Barnes & Noble Bookstore in the Barracks Road Shopping Center (on Emmet Street), in Charlottesville,VA.

A Manual for Developing Humans. Discussion, Q&A, signing.

  • September 29/30, two-day extravaganza at the Oracle Institute, Independence, VA.

Begins with showing of “Glimpses of Beyond” (40 drawings of child and adult near-death experiencers in six countries), plus excerpts from the book Dying to Know You: Proof of God in the Near-Death Experience on Friday, Sept. 29. Saturday a full day exploring A Manual for Developing Humans, powerpoint of 28 thoughtform drawings in the Manual, exercises from the Manual, discussions of “mission,” our job in life, time/dimensions, what’s coming/dates/revelations. Some meals are covered in cost. Contact Oracle Institute for details and map, at: info@TheOracleInstitute.org, or call (276) 773-3308. Books there.

  • December 9th Special Holiday Presentation at Seattle IANDS. Donations at the door: from 1:30 to 5:30, bring food for potluck.

Dr. Atwater’s talk, I Want to Pour My Soul, will be an intimate sharing of the forty years she spent challenging life followed by the forty years she spent challenging death, and why Seattle is such a special place for her (where she was healed in November of 1977). Some of her books will be available. To contact Seattle IANDS, link to http://www.IANDS.org or contact Kim Sharp at kimnde@aol.com.

  • December 10, A Manual for Developing Humans Workshop, from 1 to 4 pm at East/West Bookshop, 6407 - 12th Avenue NE, Seattle, WA 98115.

Call for details: Angie at (206) 552-8056. Cost is yet undetermined.

Much discussion about “mission” will be held: our job to do in life, time factors (dates), and the making of the Manual. Simple exercises from the Manual will be experienced. Q&A follows. Her major books will be available.

*** My two earliest books, Coming Back to Life and Beyond the Light are now available as e-books on Amazon.com. I am so happy about this, because it means these two books can now be available anywhere, anytime, for as long as Amazon.com exists. There are cases in these two books that are rare. You will not be able to read about them in any other books. Coming Back to Life was my initial study. Far more people were involved than I claimed. This was the first near-death book to go in-depth about the full gamet of aftereffects. In fact, there are many firsts in this book, plus a brief rendition of my own three near-death experiences, in three months, in 1977. Coming Back to Life was also a first: to reveal in-depth the four major types of near-death experiences, the near-death-like experience, far more detail about aftereffects - especially electrical sensitivity.

*** The national conference of the International Association for Near-Death Studies, held in San Antonio, Texas, was a tremendous success!!! Nearly 400 people came. Speakers were from all over - including Iran, where the researcher compared components of the near-death experience with passages from the Qur’an. A fellow was there from Hungary. Through his interpreter, we learned of what happened to him - very evidential. Presenters were also from Canada, India, and Hong Kong. The next big IANDS conference will be the last week of July, 2016, in Orlando, Florida. Mark the date. It is slated already to be bigger than the one in San Antonio. If you never attended an IANDS conference, you have missed one of the most loving, most exciting, most miraculous conferences ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing else like them anywhere on earth.

Classes and Conferences for NDEs and Dowsers

ANNOUNCEMENTS

*** There’s a lot about the near-death experience in the February Newsletter. Really important material, including the story of a 71-year-old priest who, in his near- death experience, saw God as feminine… the Holy Mother. Fascinating. That’s just one of many new and surprising facts just now emerging, including the Alex Malarkey near-death experience being a fraud. He recanted, but there’s a whole lot more to the story, suggestive that Tyndale House, the publisher, knew but did not withdraw the book, as it was making so much money. Be sure to sign up for the February Newsletter (subscribe here --- it’s free).

*** The Monroe Institute will sponsor an NDE Intensive (nothing like it has ever been done before), April 11-17. Scott Taylor is in charge (a man who knows his way around both NDE research and as an experiencer). For more information: info@monroeinstitute.org.

*** Sign up now to attend the near-death conference, September 3-6 in San Antonio, TX. Theme: “Explore the Extraordinary 2015, NDEs as Rites of Passage.” It is sponsored by International Association for Near-Death Studies. Contact: conference@iands.org. Website: www.iands.org.

*** The huge conference of the Southern Dowsers Association is March 19-23 at Kanuga Conference Center, Hendersonville, NC. Excellent speakers, vendors, demonstrations, bookstore. Dowsers are the “doers of psi.” Well worth the trip. Contact Brian@Granite-Planet.net for more information or to register.

Dying to Know: Proof of God in the Near-Death Experience and the IANDS Conference

*** Dying to Know You: Proof of God in the Near-Death Experience is now out. You can get a copy at any bookstore or through Amazon.com. If that bookstore does not have the book in stock, they can order it. This will alert them to carrying the book. Early testimonials are fantastic. This little book is changing minds and lives. . . already! Check my Engagement Calendar on the Home Page of my website for the many radio shows I am doing, and appearances. My website is www.pmhatwater.com. The September Newsletter is now out. If you don't subscribe, pleasedo. No money is involved. Just sign up on my website under "Newsletter."

*** The annual conference of the International Association for Near-Death Studies, held in Newport Beach, California, was outstanding. This time a number of physicians shared their near-death experiences. How's that for a switch. Doctors are being turned around, too. More and more nurses and social workers are getting involved, and are very interested in the aftereffects. The next one will be in San Antonio, Texas for 2015. Start saving your money now. There is absolutely nothing else, no other conference opportunity, that matches the power of a near-death conference - the way it affects people - and the opportunity for experiencers to be with folks "just like them." Really quite incredible, all of it.

ANOTHER MYTH IN PROGRESS, HOW THE MEDIA DEFINES WHAT A NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE IS

In l982, the Gallup Poll did the first scientific survey of the near-death experience. Only 9% of those surveyed claimed to have seen or passed through a tunnel to reach "the other side of death."  "Tunnels" became household images after several years of relentless  media campaigns to sensationalize Raymond E. Moody, Jr.'s first book, Life After Life. And, the idea that experiencers always returned more loving and generous, honest and kind, didn't mesh either.  Researchers in Europe claimed to have found that many experiencers went through periods of depressions and confusion afterwards. Because of this, and the lack of tunnel reports, they dubbed the near-death experience an American phenomenon.
Throughout the world, then and now, the tunnel as a signature feature of the near-death experience exists only in the mythology that the media created.  As far as what comes next, we have since learned that the aftereffects pattern is much more extensive than originally thought - physiologically and psychologically - and can take years to integrate.
Today research is global, and on many fronts, giving us new definitions and a more in-depth understanding of what people describe when they report having encountered life on the other side of death.  The International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) keeps up with the latest facts and discoveries on their website at www.iands.org.  Recommended for any reader is the encyclopedic The Big Book of Near-Death Experiences (although originally written by me, the book is now the property of IANDS).
So, here we go again. . .  the making of another media myth.
Because of a rash of new interest about the phenomenon, caused by a number of best-selling books written by experiencers, the media is busy creating a frenzy of television stories, articles, movies, and news items that firmly establish in the public's mind that the only valid near-death experience is one that happens in a hospital under the watchful eye of doctors and nurses, beeping equipment, and code blue stat.
Decidedly not true.  Conservative figures for near-death experiences that happen to people in a hospital environment is between 12 to 21%.  That's hardly a majority. Even those researchers who now report upwards of 28%, that still doesn't vindicate the media from stretching facts.  Near-death experiences happen anywhere to anyone at any time.  A few make it to a hospital.  Most never do.
Who does the public believe?  The media version, of course.  Where does that leave the vast majority of near-death experiencers worldwide?  Puzzled.  Differences between what actually occurs and what the media portrays are still vast.
Certainly, news and entertainment sources, under pressure to feature a story line that fits their allotment of time with sponsor approval, go after subjects that earn them high ratings.  Virtually lost in the shuffle is the range of experience types and how the pattern of aftereffects turns people's lives around physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.  This is no small thing.  Neither is it easy for experiencers to be told by television producers that what they experienced is not valid because it never occurred during or after surgery.
Yes, here we go again.  Myths over truth.
